Nutrients & Water at Green Camel

Growing fish and vegetables, Green Camel’s organic thriving approach to circular production

Green Camel is determined in their embrace of the organic approach, committing to exclusively using organic methods to fertilize their crops and be stringent with their land management obligations.

Using nutrient rich water

The greenhouse Van der Hoeven built for Green Camel is dedicated to organic cultivation. Tomatoes are grown using nutrient rich water from their barramundi (fish) farm. Green Camel’s proprietary technology not only purifies water to create an optimal environment for fish but also transforms their organic matter into nutrient-rich water, fostering the growth of tomato plants.

The system addresses the issues of waste from aquaculture, increases water utilization, provides a sustainable organic source of fertilizers, and decreases input costs and environmental burdens of horticultural production.
